Designing New Solar Collector Geometries

Since the beginning of the 20th century, that solar thermal collectors introduced in the market have a geometry that has not evolved. The configuration has been maintained with tubes in parallel, and technological development is mainly based on the improvement of the materials used and the collection system of solar radiation. Thus, Phyen project aims to challenge this paradigm and propose a step - so to speak -  evolutionary in the design of solar thermal collectors with the multiple objectives of maximising the capture of renewable energy source (incident solar radiation) and minimising resistance to water flow heated by this.
